Lead the Great Khan west in this free deck-building card battler in your browser: play cards, read enemy intents and topple the King of the West.

About Khan: Westward Conquest

Khan: Westward Conquest is a compact deck-building dungeon crawler. As the Great Khan on horseback you ride through ten stages of snakes, wolves, rocs, bears, archers, knights and dervishes, fighting turn-based battles with a hand of cards drawn from your own deck.

Every card costs stamina, so each turn is a small puzzle: attack now, raise your shield, or stack Enrage and Weaken for a bigger blow. Enemies show their next move above their heads, letting you plan around a heavy hit. After each stage you pick a new card or an innate ability such as extra draws, more stamina or healing, so every run builds a different army. Five difficulty levels push the challenge from fair to nearly impossible.

How to play

Select a card, then tap a highlighted target: an enemy for attacks, or the Khan for defense and abilities. Each card costs stamina, which refills every turn, so press End Turn when you have spent it and the enemies will act. Clear all ten stages and defeat the King of the West to win; if your life reaches zero the conquest ends.

Tips

  • Check the sword icon above each enemy and play Defend cards before a big attack lands.
  • Weaken lowers both enemy damage and the defense they gain, so use it on the strongest foe first.
  • Innate abilities like extra stamina or card draw pay off every turn for the rest of the run.
  • Attack-all cards such as Whirling Dervish shine in the later stages with three or four enemies.
